JENNY BECKER
Retreat Coordinator
A former Christian school teacher, Jenny went back to graduate school for ministry leadership. She volunteered at Dickson Valley during the winter of 2021 and soon joined the ministry here. Her love of nature and camping combined with a passion for encouraging the next generation of leaders in Christ’s Church makes this role an unexpected gift. She delights in time with her older son Brig, daughter Kiera, and son-in-law Hubert who live in Texas, and her son Luke and his wife Jess who serve near Bourbonnais.
PAUL TROMBA
Foodservice Manager
Paul has a passion for cooking and many years’ experience in food service. He has been part of the Dickson Valley summer staff for several years and has now come on board year-round. Enjoying the opportunity to serve in a Christ-centered community, he is sharing his delicious gifts with campers and staff alike.
DONNA HUTSON
Housekeeping Supervisor
With over 30 years of serving people through her role at DV, Donna is always faithful. Her keen eye to detail has been very evident to groups when they arrive to a clean and organized cabin. On her off time you’ll find Donna spending time with her family, amongst them two grandchildren Paxton and Garrett, who she enjoys bringing to camp to play in the gym.
MARK CALDWELL
Executive Director
Mark started his ministry in Christian Camping at Honey Rock Camp in Wisconsin, meeting his wife Julia. He has appreciated and enjoyed his work with churches and promoting the value of a camp experience in their ministry. Mark and Julia have been married for 29 years and their two children, Sam and Sara have both grown up at Dickson Valley and are now following their own paths which God is laying before them.
TIM HOOTS
Facilities Director
A native from Manteno, IL, Tim’s experience comes from working maintenance at Life Action Ministries in Niles, Michigan and working as a ranch hand in Colorado. Being blessed with skills that have highly benefited Dickson Valley, Tim has recently headed up many new construction/remodel projects. In 2007, Tim was married to Priscilla, a long time Dickson Valley employee and now they have expanded the family to include Skyler, Rylan, and Grayson.
LON ALDERMAN
Program Director
Lon brings a variety of experience to the Dickson Valley team gained from years in camping and pastoral ministry. His passions include church leadership development, discipleship, and the Gospel. Lon and his wife Julie are the proud parents of three daughters Gina, Kassidy, and Katie.
